Dear Reader,
I wrote Reasonable Doubts: A Religious Skeptic Learns a Thing or Two About God because among all the confusing emotions I experienced during my crisis of faith, loneliness was one of the most profound. I never knew a person can be so alone while living in a crowded dorm with her four best friends. Existential loneliness is a uniquely human experience. It is my hope that Reasonable Doubts will tap on the sealed doors of your isolation, and that you will let it in.
